UPCOMING EVENTS:
Regular classes resume Monday, January 2. Some classes have a few new openings. Classes will close after February when we begin working on material for recital. INFORMAL SPRING RECITAL is May 20 @ 2:30. The event is free to the public, but each dancer must turn in $25 participation fee by MONDAY, JANUARY 16 to participate.

RECENT EVENTS:
11 aspiring performing artists were selected at Studio 29 to attend Peter Sklar's "beginnings workshop" training and performing in New York!! He interviews 2000+ candidates and 25% are selected to attend workshops. Great job kids! We'll keep everyone posted if they make plans to attend and their experiences.
COSTUME WEEK - 10/24-10/27. Wear a costume over your regular dance attire to class (be prepared to remove it if needed to dance). CLOSED HALLOWEEN!!
ZUMBA WITH BRITNI is no longer at Studio 29, but you can still catch her classes in Lampasas!
.... and as always, MELINDA AND HER JAZZERCISE ladies are still working hard at 9 a.m. Mon/Wed/Fri and at 5:30 p.m. Mon/Tues/Thurs. Fun music, cardio and toning.
First day Fall Classes is Wednesday, August 31. Studio is closed Labor Day 9/5. Get ready to audition for The Story of The Nutcracker on Saturday 9/10. Audition schedule soon to follow!

Dancers audition for acceptance/placement among 2011-2012 Company Members. Video auditions allowed - please call or email for more info. Due Thur, 7/7 8:30 p.m.
7/5 - PARENT/DANCER MEETING: 6:30-7:30 Must attend or send representative. Missed information is NOT the responsibility of the studio.
7/6 - AUDITION CLASSES: Dancers received confirmed audition time at previous meeting. Wear "dance class best" to learn audition material. Come at following:
10:30-12 Noon -- Teen Co.
12:00-1:30 -- Senior Co.
4:00-5:30 -- Junior Co.
7/7 - FINAL AUDITIONS: Bring solo music and audition folder. Come dressed and ready to dance by assigned time:

New 2011-2012 SDC Company announced on website on Saturday morning, 7/9 by 9 a.m. All decisions are final. Company members must come in w/ parent to sign contracts first week of August when company fees are due.

SDC's Formal Spring Recital is set for Sunday, May 22 at Burnet Middle School Auditorium. Don't miss out on our Oscar-themed event, featuring our 1st ever Daddy-Daughter dance. The event is free, bring all your friends and family!
Starbound National Talent Competition
SDC Dance Company took group and solo dance works to competition
in San Antonio. Dances received high marks including the following
