Artistic Director/Owner, Jenn Moore

Jenn Moore was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, where she discovered her love for dance under the instruction of Mrs. AndrHarper of Champion Studios.  She moved up at the age of 16 to the Young Apprentice Program at Ballet El Paso under the professional direction of Ms. Ingeborg Heuser, and performed many times with Ballet El Paso including numerous productions of The Nutcracker and other ballets including Romeo and Juliet, and The Carnival of the Animals.

Growing up around the rigors of a dance company heightened her appreciation for dance - for good dance - and all the many hours of hard work that must go into it.  Moore emphasizes this in her instruction of studio classes.  Although she works to create a loving dance environment where students of all ages feel safe trying new things, they are still expected to continually give their very best in each class.

Moore moved to Central Texas in 1997 and discovered modern dance at Southwest Texas State University where she minored in dance while earning her B.A. in Mass Communication.  She was the recipient of many dance scholarships awarded for skill and choreography, and to attend dance workshops.  As a student of modern, Moore holds on to a quote from pioneering modern dancer Erick Hawkins, "Just because it's possible, doesn't mean it's desirable."  She strives to pass this idea on to her students - while dance "tricks" are fun to do and watch, it is the quality of the performance and the presence of the dancer which should be the measure of "good dance."

Jenn was Curriculum/Company Director and Lead Instructor at Rhythm Accent Dance Studio under the ownership and artistic direction of Deidra Robertson.  Under Moore's direction, the studio performed their first season of The Story of The Nutcracker in December 2006, a tradition which continues and becomes more refined each year. The 2008-2010 productions were voted "Best Community Production" by readers of the Burnet Bulletin, and students Ryan Winkler & Courtney Conovan were voted Best Actress for their dancing roles.

Moore stays active dancing professionally with area groups. She also holds a group Pilates certificate, and is a member by examination of Texas Association Teachers of Dancing.

Her educational degrees include a Master of Education from Texas State University in Secondary Education with focus in Gifted and Talented Education, and Texas Teacher Certificates in Dance grades 6-12, English/Language Arts grades 8-12, and Secondary Gifted and Talented.  Moore was also featured in the "Wonder Woman Spotlight" in the June issue of Living Hill Country Style Magazine.

Mrs. Jenn is the proud mother of 11-yr.-old Madelynn and 8-yr.-old Chelsea, and wife of Program Specialist Michael Moore.  She resides with her family in Leander, TX.
